The Name of Wind UK First Edition Latest News
It has been 5 years since the release of The Wise Man’s Fear and there is still no word on Day 3 – possibly named The Doors of Stone. Pat does an awful lot for Worldbuilders charity and recently developing an RPG ‘Hero’s Song.’ In October it was revealed Lionsgate would be making a film, TV show and computer game based on The Kingkiller Chronicle. Similar to The Game of Thrones dilemma, I doubt we will see Book 3 until the TV show has started. Pat does not like to speak about the release of Book 3 in public.

imagesA bit about the author– Patrick Rothfuss had the good fortune to be born in Wisconsin in 1973, where the long winters and lack of cable television encouraged a love of reading and writing.

After abandoning his chosen field of chemical engineering, Pat became an itinerant student, wandering through clinical psychology, philosophy, medieval history, theater, and sociology. Nine years later, Pat was forced by university policy to finally complete his undergraduate degree in English.
When not reading and writing, he teaches fencing and dabbles with alchemy in his basement. @PatrickRothfuss He is also founder of the huge charity & has a really cool shop.

  1. To Whom It May Concern,

This probably won’t be of much help, but you asked for helped with Pat’s first book, and though I don’t own a copy, I do know where the cheapest one is at the moment, and that’s here:

It’s still quite expensive, true, but it is available. Hope that helps either way.
